Features of growth, development and meat qualities of ducks

The paper presents research on the cultivation of ducklings of wild mallard duck in the conditions of farming in the Krasnodar Krai. As a result of the conducted scientific research, data on live weight, slaughter yield, yield of boneless meat, yield of secondary slaughter products in comparison with mallards living in the natural environment were obtained. The assessment of the high meat productivity of domesticated ducks in comparison with wild relatives was given, and recommendations for the further use of duck meat in food production were substantiated.
