Additions to the sunflower rust development model
The life cycle of sunflower rust in the conditions of the Russian Federation has been supplemented, the harmfulness (up to 40% of losses) and the biological threshold for starting fungicides’ treatment (3-5% of the damaged plants) are indicated. It is noted that for the economic efficiency of fungicidal treatments against rust, it is necessary to strictly use the recommended rates of water volume.Keywords: Sunflower, sunflower rust, Puccinia helianthi, harmfulness, fungicides, PPP water volume, pathogenesis, biology of the rust.
