Ecological adaptability, plasticity and stability varieties of L

Safflower is grown for oil, animal feed and pharmacologically significant secondary metabolites. The choice of a variety adapted to the agro-climatic conditions of the region is one of the main approaches to obtaining stable yields. Thus, it is important to take into account the yield of varieties bred in different breeding centers in specific soil and climatic conditions. The purpose of our research was to assess the parameters of plasticity, adaptability and stability of safflower varieties in the conditions of the Middle Volga and Crimea in 2020-2022. Weather conditions during the years of research were varied. The index of environmental conditions varied within a fairly wide range from -4.14 to +3.48 units in Crimea and from -1.55 to +2.44 units in Penza. The most favorable conditions for the development of safflower were in the Penza region in 2021 and in the Crimea in 2022 (Ij=3.48 and 2.44). The highest seed yield was formed by the varieties Aleksandrit and Ershovsky 4 in both regions of the study. Productivity averaged 13.42-13.73 and 13.11-13.38 q/ha. They were distinguished by high levels of stability (7.48-10.84 and 6.35-11.59) and a high degree of agroecological adaptation (-0.3 and -3.9). Over the years of research, all varieties have shown high ecological plasticity, the values of bi varied within 0.84-1.08. This suggests that these varieties show tolerance and maximum realization of their genetic properties in various environmental conditions.
