Ecgography in diagnosis of pregnancy and infertility in cows

Echographic studies evidence that in 28-32 days’ pregnancy, embryos in the amniotic cavity with echopositive fluid and the amnion wall of the white color are clearly visible. By the 35th day of pregnancy, the rudiments of the limbs become visible and one can see the motor activity of the embryo, which indicates its viability. Fetal membranes become more pronounced. By the 40th day of pregnancy, increased embryo growth is noted and a cartilaginous skeleton is formed. Echography evidences that in 50-65 days’ pregnancy internal organs of fetus forms. The contractions of the heart are not noticeable, but they are permanent. By the 71-80 days of pregnancy with an accuracy of 70-85% of cases it is possible to reveal the sex of the fetus over the genital tubercles, and in 90 days the fetus has sharply expressed ribs, spine, head and limbs well visible on the scans. Caruncles and cotyledons are clearly pronounced. In acute postnatal purulent-catarrhal endometritis, the uterus cavity is filled with a large number of echogenic content, and in chronic endometrium it is filled with a small amount of echogenic content.
