Phenotyping of varieties of "Collections of genetic resources of rice, vegetable and melon crops" according to the technological characteristics of grain in connection with the developmentof breeding technology for the creation of rice varieties with high nutritional quality of grain

Due to the urgency of developing a new, effective breeding methodology for creating a rice assortment with high technological and consumer properties for the domestic market of the country on the basis of accelerating the breeding process and introducing new highly effective methods, it is necessary to study the quality characteristics of the genplasm of genetic collections. The aim of the study was to characterize the samples of the UNU "Collection of Rice FNC" belonging to different groups in terms of quality and color of the pericarp in the program of creating varieties based on the use of modern postgenomic and cellular technologies. The research material was samples of the collection of the Federal Research Center of rice with different colors of flower scales, the crop was grown in the starodelt agro-landscape zone (Krasnoarmeyskydistrict, Krasnodarregion). The color of the pericarp was assessed visually after removing the flower scales on the Satake peeling plant. As part of a scientific study, rice varieties with unpainted and colored grain pericarp were identified for large-scale genotyping. Phenotyping of the studied rice samples by grain quality was carried out in accordance with GOST standards and with instructions for scientific instruments. Rapan, Amethyst and Charm varieties were characterized by high vitreousness - 92-96%. Low fracture rates - up to 9%, varieties Mars, Ruby, Jet, Veles, HeibarDigaploid, k-2327 Digaploid, which can be sources of a valuable sign of low grain fracturing.
Keywords: Rice, variety, phenotyping, vitreous, grain fracturing.
