Integral assessment of the social development of rural areas of the Krasnodar Territory

The spatial development strategy of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2025 is aimed at reducing interregional differences in the level and quality of life of the population, economic growth and technological progress in rural areas. The main problems of social development of rural areas are outlined. The relevance of assessing the quality of their environment for determining priority areas for development and allocating budgetary funds is substantiated. A study of the socio-economic development of rural areas of 7 subjects of the Krasnodar Territory was carried out on the basis of an integral assessment of several indicators characterizing the standard of living of the population. Important instruments of state incentives aimed at solving the problems of social development of rural areas are considered. As a result of the performed calculations and transformations of the corresponding indicators, the classification of districts according to the level of socio-economic development was determined. The analysis of the characteristics of the districts by the main types of activities that form the basis of their economic development, as well as the potential for attracting the population and its employment, was carried out.
