Methodological features of assessing food security level

The article presents methodological approaches to assessing food security level. The characteristics, criteria and features of the assessment of global, national, regional and individual food security are proposed. The system of criteria, indicators and statistical indicators for assessing food security level of the country and the region is justified. A systematic approach to assessing the level of food security of a country and a region is proposed, taking into account the impact of factors on it, taking into account the specific conditions of food production, sale and distribution. The presented system of indicators allows for a detailed and comprehensive assessment of food security level, identifying problems and priority areas for the development of the country's agri-food policy.
