Features of biochemical indicators of the blood of dairy cows when using a feed additive based on humic substances

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the effect of a prototype feed additive based on humic substances on biochemical blood parameters in dairy cows. Dairy cows received an individual supplement of 40 g per knock with their general diet for 90 days. The prototype of a feed additive based on humic substances from peat in the Ryazan region contains: fats, nitrogen, organic and inorganic carbon, ascorbic acid, lysine, iron, zinc, calcium. This additive is safe for productive animals; the indicators of GOST 31674-2012 for feed are not exceeded. With the same diet and housing conditions, the cows receiving the supplement showed no deviations from the physiological norm for all studied indicators, while in the control group such indicators as AST and ALT and total bilirubin were higher than normal. It was found that feeding the prototype had a positive effect on metabolic processes, while the control group cows had an increase in some indicators. AST and ALT in the blood of animals in the group where the drug was used did not exceed the physiological norm and were 55.5% (p ˂ 0.05), 86.8% (p ˂ 0.001) lower than in the control, respectively. The concentration of urea in the blood of cows in the experimental group, where the humic preparation was used, was lower by 14.5% (p ˂ 0.05). The data obtained indicate a positive effect of humic-based feed additives on energy metabolism in the body of dairy cows.
