Growth and reproductive qualities holstein cattle

The presented research results are devoted to the evaluation of breeding bulls that combine higher reproductive qualities. Growth and development analysis of repair heifers obtained from mothers of the black-and-white breed of the Holstein half-blood breed and purebred Holstein bulls-producers was carried out. Bull-producer Yaroslav 11508035, elite class-record belonging to the Vis Back Idial 1013415 line, and producer Brooklyn 106357386, elite class-record belonging to the Reflection Sovering 198998 line. In identical growing conditions, different genotypes young animals showed a multidirectional character of growth and development of the organism by age periods. It was found that the repair heifers obtained from the Brooklyn bull 106357386 surpassed their peers from the producer Yaroslav 11508035 in the main parameters studied. When studying the economic efficiency of using experimental animals of different genotypes, it was found that the cost of dead calves and lost milk was 36248 rubles for the first group and 26496 rubles for the second.
