Impact factors assessment on the economic efficiency of sugar beet production in the Krasnodar Territory

The most important task of the domestic sugar beet subcomplex is to provide the population of the country with sugar, and the processing industry with raw materials. The influence of the main factors on the economic efficiency of sugar beet production in the Krasnodar Territory has been assessed. A grouping of 125 sugar beet farms in the Krasnodar Territory showed a direct dependence of the economic efficiency of beet growing on the quantity and quality of the technical means used, as well as the unit cost of seed material. The analysis showed that farms with a sugar beet yield of 500-600 centners per hectare receive the maximum income, provided with a set of necessary technical means and with seed costs at the level of 9-14 thousand ruble per 1 ha. The conducted study made it possible to identify the main directions for the economic efficiency increasing of the regional beet growing, including modernization of the technical and technological base of the industry, development of domestic breeding and seed production, and introduction of innovative production technologies.
