Studying the clinical efficacy of the veterinary drug "GABITABS" (Gabapentin) in cats

The drug GABITABS was developed by API-SAN LLC for use in dogs and cats. Effective doses of the drug have been established for the elimination of behavioral disorders, relief of increased anxiety, including during diagnostic studies, transportation and grooming. The drug was administered orally in the form of tablets 2 times a day. When using it, minimal reversible undesirable effects were detected in the form of polydipsia on the 5-6 day of administration and pronounced sedation (in 3 cats out of 20). In animals whose appetite was reduced against the background of anxiety and stress, when using the drug, its recovery was observed. After using the drug for the next 12 hours, the cats did not show aggression during manipulations in the hospital and during admission, the cats allowed the researcher, vocalization was completely stopped on the 3-5 day of application. An increase in appetite after taking pills was observed in 8 cats on the 2-3 day of the course. Manifestations of symptoms of anxiety, stress were not observed when using GABITABS for 2-3 days.
