Efficacy of «polyoxidonium vet» in postpartum cow endometritis of bacterial-viral etiology

The effectiveness of the use of "Polyoxidonium Vet" as a means of prevention and therapy of postpartum endometritis of cattle in combination with topical agents used in the dairy industry of the Krasnodar region has been studied. It was established that the use of "Polyoxidonium Vet" as a treatment pharmaceutical substance of preventing postpartum endometritis of cows of associated bacterial-viral etiology favored to a decrease in the incidence of animals by 10%, in comparison with the livestock that did not receive this drug in its preventive complex, while there is a decrease in the service period by 9,9%, which is an important indicator of the organization of herd reproduction. The effectiveness of preventive measures using "Polyoxidonium Vet" is also confirmed by favorable changes in hematological parameters of animal blood. Application of "Polyoxidonium Vet" in cow endometritis treatment regimens allows to increase therapeutic effectiveness of veterinary measures by 20%, reducing recovery time of sick animals by 25,7%, and accelerating service period by 18,8% in relation to animals receiving standard treatment regimens. At the same time, there is a normalization of hematological blood parameters of sick animals, manifested in an increase in the level of red blood cells against the background of a decrease in white blood cells, an increase in the level of hemoglobin, as well as a decrease in segmented neutrophils.
