Species composition of helminths of ruminants in the steppe scientific hospital "Orenburg Tarpania"

One of the ways of ecological rehabilitation of the steppes is the return of wild ungulates to the steppe areas. A significant risk in the introduction of ungulates is the spread of helminths. In 2020, a helminthological examination of introduced ruminants (yaks, camels, goats), as well as domestic ruminants of the adjacent territory, was carried out at the scientific steppe station "Orenburgskaya Tarpaniya". Parasitism of nematodes of the suborder Strongylata, cestodes of the genus Moniezia, and protozoa of the genus Eimeria was revealed with a low intensity of invasion. In wild and domestic ruminants, invasions proceeded in the form of carriage.
