Economic analysis of the current state of fruit and vine growing in the Krasnodar Territory and estimation of their development directions efficiency

Priority areas for the innovative domestic fruit growing and viticulture development are identified and systematized, including the creation of highly productive regional varieties of domestic selection, an increase in the share of intensive and superintensive orchard types in the total area of perennial plantations, comprehensive mechanization, automation and robotization of production processes, widespread use of drip irrigation systems, and etc. As has been established an increase in the area of perennial plantations in the country should be accompanied by the parallel construction of new and restoration of existing fruit processing enterprises and fruit storage facilities. The analysis of the main production and economic indicators of fruit growing and viticulture development in the region, including the dynamics of areas of perennial plantings, including intensive type, production volumes, yield and profitability of product sales, has been carried out. The area of intensive orchards in the regionwas found to have increased 4.5 times over 10 years, which, in turn, made it possible to increase the volume of apple production sygnificantly. The analysis of the volumes and sources of apples and grapes imports to our country in 2014-2020 have been analyzed. It has been established that after the completion of the transformation of all supply chains caused by the retaliatory Russian food embargo, the growth of these volumes may resume. The analysis of the efficiency of production of apples and grapes in agricultural organizations of the region with different sizes of the area of perennial plantings was carried out. Calculations of the expected indicators of the investments efficiency in the establishment of new perennial plantations in fruit growing and viticulture in the Krasnodar Territory have been carried out. It has been established that, in order to reduce their riskiness, it is necessary, among other things, to increase the volume of state support for commodity producers by subsidizing at least 30-50% of the costs of uprooting old and laying of new perennial plantings.
