Study of the aquaponic installation effectiveness

The purpose of the research was to study the fish breeding performance of sturgeon juveniles grown in aquaponic facilities. The experiments were carried out on the yearlings of the Sterbel (Sterlet and beluga sturgeon hybride). Studies of the effect of using an aquaponic system on the hydrochemical parameters of water have been carried out. The vertical installation is an aquaponic device containing a fish tank with inlet and outlet pipes, a plant growing device consisting of modules arranged in tiers, a pipe with outlet pipes and a pump for circulating water between the fish tank and the plant growing device, a device for draining water from a plant growing facility into a fish tank. The fish breeding indicators of sturgeon fry were determined using the aquaponic system (survival rate, growth rate, weight gain, coefficient of fatness, feeding ratio). A morphological analysis was conducted and chemical composition of the fish was studied. The quality of plant products obtained in the aquaponic system was assessed and the economic efficiency of the use of the developed aquaponic system was calculated. The hydrochemical parameters of water when using the aquaponic system met the standards. The live weight of fish when grown in pools with aquaponic systems was significantly higher than in the control by 30.0 g. The coefficient of fatness according to Fulton when using the aquaponic system exceeded the values in the control group by 0.16. When growing parsley in aquaponic installations, the profit amounted to 60 rubles per 1 kg.
