Primary analysis of the results of whole-genome sequencing of biocontrol strains Bacillus subtilis BZR 336g and Bacillus subtilis BZR 517

The primary results of the analysis of data obtained by reading the complete genomes of new strains producing biological agents Bacillus subtilis BZR 336g and B. subtilis BZR 517 are presented. The strains were isolated from stations in southern Russia as a result of expeditions and introduced into the bioresource collection of the Federal State Budget Scientific Institution VNIIBZR "The State Collection of Entomoacariphages and Microorganisms". The studies were conducted on the basis of the "Laboratory for the creation of microbiological plant protection products and the collection of microorganisms of the All-Russian Research Institute of Plant Biological Protection", the Department of Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Kuban State Agrarian University and the Laboratory of Hormonal Regulation Proteins of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry named after Academicians M.M. Shemyakin and Yu.A. Ovchinnikov RAS. The libraries were prepared for sequencing using the Illumina Nextera DNA Flex Library Prep kit. Sequencing of the bacterial genomes of the selected samples was carried out on the Illumina MiSeq platform. The genome assembly was carried out using the UGENE Unipro program using the BWA algorithm selected by comparing the genome assemblies. Annotated reference genomes are available at the NCBI. In relation to strains B. subtilis BZR 336g and B. subtilis BZR 517, their taxonomic affiliation was clarified. Both strains are assigned to the group of the species B. amyloliquefaciens, which includes many rhizospheric strains of the genus Bacillus, which have growth-promoting and antimicrobial properties. However, the issue of taxonomic affiliation of strains requires more in-depth study.
