Cluster analysis as a tool to support priority directions of Innovative dairy cattle breding development in the Krasnodar Territory

The aim of the research was to study the priority directions of innovative development of dairy cattle breeding in the Krasnodar Territory. Cluster analysis method was used to solve this problem, allowing classification of non-uniform statistical aggregates, combining them into a homogeneous group, and establishing previously unknown patterns in the objects under study. In determining the priorities of the integrated development of dairy farming in the region, cluster analysis was used in several aspects: identification of problems and formation of households group with low development level that need reconstruction and investment means; capacity assessment and selection of agricultural enterprises, which should become a development and rational use of investment funds guide. The main indicators characterizing the level of dairy cattle breeding development are the following: milk yield per cow with the basic content of fat and protein; the annual average number of cows per 100 hectares of farmland; production costs per 1cow; consumption of feeds for milk production (bioconversion); the cost of 1 quintal of milk; profitability level. Agricultural organizations clusters allocation in terms of dairy cattle breeding development has allowed not only evaluation of the key milk production performance indicators in each of the groups, taking into account the achieved level of factors usage intensity, but also to identify priority trends for investing funds.
