Selection of outstanding stallions of the mugalzhar breed for the new lines formation in "KazHorseMugalzhar" LLP of Akmola region

The creation of breeding lines of domestic horse breeds, capable of producing the cheapest, sustainable horse meat and kumis under the conditions of various zones of Kazakhstan, is of particular relevance. In this regard, we are working on the formation of two new lines of stallions in the Mugalzhar horse breed of the meat and dairy direction of productivity in LLP "KazHorse Mugalzhar". On the breeding farm of LLP "KazHorseMugalzhar" in Akmola region, two lines of Mugalzhar horse breed have been formed, these are the lines of Zapas 33-02 and Barlan-03. In the selected genealogical lines, an assessment of all offspring was carried out to determine the prepotency of the stallions. Grading, selection and assortment of horses in each genealogical line of stallions was carried out. A preliminary assessment of stallions by the quality of offspring and the selection of the best representatives in each line according to the scheme father-son-grandson was carried out. During forming new genealogical lines with direct inheritance of the selected traits, the future breeding stock mares of at least 45 animals were selected from each line.
