Little-studied and especially dangerous mycoses in strawberry plantations of some regions of Russia

The study presents the results of phytosanitary surveys of strawberry plantations in Moscow, Penza, Tambov, Tula, Arkhangelsk and Ryazan regions. The aim of this work was to detect and identify poorly studied species, including restricted distribution of especially dangerous pathogens associated with Fragaria ananassa Duchesne. As a result of the research, fungi and fungi-like organisms have been identified belonging to the genera: Colletotrichum, Mortierella, Neopestalotiopsis, Truncatella, Phytophthora, Pythium. The species was identified by a combination of classical mycological methods with the analysis of the nucleotide sequences of certain regions of the target genes. The article provides information on the species diversity, distribution of micromycetes, diagnostically significant micro and macro features, accompanied by original photographic materials.
Keywords: Strawberries, phytopathogen, diagnostics, anthracnose, phytophthora root rot, pestalotia fungi.
