Countering criminal activities in the agricultural industry as a condition for ensuring the economic security of the Russian Federation

The article examines the problem of the growth of criminal activity in the segment of the agro-industrial complex. The necessity of state regulation of the economy in the context of a deteriorating macroeconomic environment and an increase in crisis phenomena in the economy has been substantiated. It is highlighted that the reduction of criminal activity in the agro-industrial complex is a key factor in ensuring the economic security of the Russian Federation. The scale of the problem of criminal activity is confirmed by official statistics. The article substantiates the need to improve the effectiveness of measures aimed at reducing the level of criminal activity in the agro-industrial complex and increasing the level of economic security of the country.
