Tools for economic security assessing for the agricultural region

To assess the level of economic security of an agrarian region, the existing methods are grouped into an assessment system that allows you to compare the actually obtained values of a number of indicators characterizing the general state of agriculture. The resulting system of indicators characterizes the level of economic security of regions of agricultural specialization based on a comparison of the actually obtained values with the normative ones. The given system of indicators of the socio-economic development of an agrarian region makes it possible to assess the level of economic security, taking into account the provision of food security in the region. The toolkit contains indicators of the material and technical base development of agriculture and allows you to assess investment activity in the agricultural sector, determine the level of economic and physical accessibility of food for residents of the region, and identify threats to food security. Socio-economic indicators of the economic security of the development of the agrarian sector in the region have normative values and characteristics of the likely socio-economic consequences that may arise in the form of food security threats. The Krasnodar Territory agrarian sector development analysis shows that from 2015 to 2019 the livestock industry profitability is declining, while the crop production is growing. An increase in the number of unprofitable farms is a negative phenomenon in the development of agricultural organizations. Nevertheless, in 2019 the highest level of food independence of the region was achieved. It is obvious that the Krasnodar Territory has a great agricultural potential and its application in the implementation of the import substitution policy will ensure food security. The applied tools in assessing the economic security of the agrarian sector of the Krasnodar Territory made it possible to determine the food independence level of the region due to the implementation of the import substitution policy, as well as to determine changes in the main socio-economic indicators, taking into account the agrarian sector development.
