Evaluation of varieties and hybrids of quince (Cydonia oblonga Mill.) to main diseases in Steppe Crimea

Varieties and forms from the gene pool collection of quince sources of field resistance to brown leaf spot to identify. The analysis of hybrid families to do. The object of research was 227 varieties and forms of quince of different ecological and geographical origin and 986 hybrid seedlings. The results of evaluation of the varieties, forms and hybrid of quince on the lesion by brown leaf spot in the Steppe Crimea have expounded. The studied genotypes have a different immunological tolerance to the disease. The varieties and forms were classified of the susceptibility to a pathogen on high-resistant, resistant, little-susceptible, susceptible and the most susceptible. The quince varieties immune to the disease have not been found. 16 resistant varieties (8%) were selected: Anyuta, Lakomaya, Novorichna, Mriya, Oktyabrina, Pervenec, Skromnaya, Sedobnaya, Uspekh, Yantarnaya Moldavskaya, Kodryanka, Yuzhanka, Izobilnaya, Samarkandskaya Krupnoplodnaya, 14/88, 13/83, 22/69, 46/24 б, 69/39а, 77/53, 84/51, 107/36, 111/45, 112/43 б, 116/31. The most of the all resistant hybrid were revealed from the families with the varieties Izobilnaya Krimskaya, Konservnaya Pozdnyaya, Mriya, Pervenec, Selena, Uspekh, Yaytsevidnaya Krimskaya, Yantarnaya Moldavskaya. 34 seedlings from the stock with high resistance to brown leaf spot, productivity, with high fruits quality were selected. According to the degree of damage by subcutaneous blotch of fruits, 35 high resistant and 49 resistant were identified.
