The effect of protein level and its breakdown on the use of nitrogen feed, the supply of essential amino acids and milk production of holstein fresh cows

The materials presented in the article are a continuation of the experiment of the previously described material in “Proceedings of KubSAU” (Ryadchikov V.G. et al. 2019) The purpose of this study was to study the effect of different levels of protein and its degradability on the efficiency of using feed N, the formation of microbial protein, the release of amino acids into the duodenum, the provision of diets with metabolic essential amino acids and milk production of cows. In the experiment, there were 4 Holstein first-calf cows during lactation 45 ± 10 days from calving, surgically equipped with rumen and duodenal cannulas. Four diets were evaluated for effectiveness. The 1st and 2nd diets contained 15.7% CP. The ratio of RUP:RDP = 7,6: 8,1% DM (50:50% CP), in 2 diet, the ratio of RUP: RDP = 5,4: 10,3% DM, (35:65% CP); in the 3rd and 4th diets, the CP content is 17.7%, in the 3rd ration the ratio of RUP:RDP is 9.1: 8.7% DM (50:50% CP), in the 4th ration the ratio of RUP:RDP is 6.3: 11.4% DM (35:65% CP). Feeding animals was carried out according to the Latin square 4 ½ 4. The experiment consisted of 4 periods of 22 days each, with 12 days being the period of adaptation to the new diet, 10 days - milk yield accounting period, sampling of digest, feces, urine, blood. There was a trend of higher apparent and true digestibility of DM and OM in the rumen, the same tendency to increase digestibility by 2% in the whole digestive tract one the diets with the ratio RUP:RDP = 35:65. The most effective use of feed, RUP nitrogen, and RDP nitrogen was observed in cows on a diet with 15,7% DM, with the ratio of RUP:RDP = 35:65% DM. On a diet with 15,7% DM and a ratio of RUP:RDP = 50:50% CP, a decrease in DM (p <0.05). intake and milk production was observed on 4 diet. The maximum milk production (p <0.05) was obtained on a 3 ration of 39.4 kg / d with a ratio of RUP:RDP = 50: 50% CР. The provision of diets with essential amino acids for lysine amounted to 95.3% in diets 2 and 3, methionine deficiency was about 15%. A less satisfactory balance of diets for metabolic essential amino acids was observed on diets 1 and 4. There is a direct correlation between the level of RRB in diets and the growth of microbial biomass (p <0.05). With the optimal ratio of protein fractions RUP:RDP and the optimal balance of metabolic essential amino acids there is a real opportunity to reduce the protein level in the diet of cows to 15.7%.
