Increasing the role of information provision in the agrarian import substitution

The authors note that the counter-sanctions against Western restrictions promote internal substitution for many food products, food imports became less by $20 billion. We began to export wheat more than the US and the European Union, and now control 22% of the global segment. Import restrictions helped to increase production in animal husbandry, pork production increased by 25%, which became possible due to the growing volume of investment (in the last 5 years they amounted to more than 250 billion rubles. ($3.8 billion). Poultry production is growing up to 8% per year, retail prices for chicken and pork decreased by 14%. Many Western producers of the domestic food market maintain and expand their market segments in our country. For example, Danish-Swedish firm Arla Foods, Finnish company Valio, German Ehrmann, Hochland and Meggle and others switched to Russian raw materials. The authors clarify the import substitution definition; note that the information support of this process is becoming important market leverage. The system is designed to analyze the nomenclature of the imported products market for each agricultural segment of the economy and recommend options for their production within our country. The authors propose the structure of the information support system and the algorithm for building a regional agricultural import substitution. They consider import substitution as an economic tool for the transition to sustainable export orientation; show the existing risks to the implementation of the information system project, technological and economic advantages and benefits from the implementation of their recommendations.
