Improving the financial literacy of the population

Financial education of citizens is the integral component of stable and dynamic development of any state. In this article the problem of level of financial education of the population is considered. The international comparative researches of level of financial literacy of the population and data of Management of Federal State Statistics Service in Krasnodar Territory regarding economic and social situation of Krasnodar Territory were given a research regarding identification of level of financial literacy among the population of the Russian Federation, including. The education of the younger generation in Russia occurs in the conditions of formation of mechanisms of market economy in which financial literacy is obligatory competence of each individual, the integral component of modern life, like the aspiration to lead a healthy lifestyle, to continuously improve educational level and to improve professional qualification. Financial literacy allocates the person who managed to seize it, a notable benefit in ensuring welfare of and the family. In the Russian Federation the state undertakes a key role in the organization of space of education and training of the population of financial literacy, including using for this purpose the potential and possibilities of an education system. Growth and development of economy it is integral depends on financial behavior of citizens, on their financial literacy or illiteracy. In September, 2017 the Government of the Russian Federation approved "The strategy of increase in financial literacy in the Russian Federation for 2017-2023". The joint Agreement between the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and administration of Krasnodar Territory "About project implementation "Assistance to increase in level of financial literacy of the population is in addition signed and to development of financial education in the Russian Federation" it is approved by the Law of Krasnodar Territory. Besides, in 2016 the Law "About State Policy in the Sphere of Financial Education of the Population of Krasnodar Territory" is adopted.
