The genetic potential of sires used in the herd of high yielding holstein cows

Against the background of the increase in milk productivity of cows in the herd of “Novoplastunovskoye” enterprise, Pavlovsky district, in the conditions of constructed new farms, including the American project, we studied the indicators of animal genetics and the results of their assessment by the quality of offspring. All 17 used on the far m bulls - producers of American breed had a high level of potential for milk yield and the fat and protein content in milk. The average yield of mothers of bulls is 14518.8 kg; 3.98 and 3.26% fat and protein in milk. Three bull’s producers: Padlock, Cabriolet, and Tampa, whose daughters we studied, had high milk yield on mothers. The highest milk yield was in the Padlock bull heredity - 1553 kg, the high indicators on the fat content (5.60%) and protein (3.60) in the milk of the parents turned out to be with the Black Jack bull. The overall physique of the daughters (+1,2) and the depth of the torso (+0,7) was significantly influenced by the bull Convertible. According to the severity of the milky type, the angle of the sacrum and the length of the nipples, the best were the daughters of the bull Padlock. The Bulls Cabriolet and Padlock have improved their daughters in 12 signs of a linear assessment of the exterior. The bulls that left offspring in the herd are not carriers of harmful diseases: deficiency of leukocytes, brachistines, complex vertebral deformity and other negative tests. According to the index of an average commercial cow, the bull Cabriolet has the highest index - $ 913, daughters' milk yield is higher by 283 kg, fat content is by 0.22%, protein is 0.05%, productive longevity is 2.6 months longer, compared with the daughters of the Padlog and Tampa bulls.
