Features of phenological phases in introduced variety samples of chaenomeles

Chaenomeles is a new non-traditional fruit and ornamental crop. It is valued for its early fruiting, high annual yield, resistance to diseases and pests, ornamentally, high nutritional, technological and therapeutic and prophylactic properties of the fruit. Timely passage of phenological phases both at the beginning of the growing season in the first phase of growth and development, and in the second period of growth (preparation for winter, accumulation of nutrients in the generative organs) determines the adaptive capacity of plants. The aim of the research was to evaluate variety samples of chaenomeles for phenological phases of seasonal development after their introduction in conditions of Tambov region. Introduced chaenomeles forms Caliph, Ch. maulei, Ch. x superba, were token original for research as a reference on we used cv Ivanushka bred in "I.V. Michurin FSC". The evaluation of variety samples on the timing of the passage of phenological phases and need for the sum of positive temperatures at different stages of the growing season is determined. The studied chaenomeles variety samples suitable for cultivation in the conditions of the Tambov region. The date of the beginning of the growing season of variety samples falls on for 2-18 April, flowering date - 28 April-3 June, beginning of fruit ripening - 5 August-23 September. Control cv Ivanushka characterized by early fruit ripening, late Caliph. For the growth and development of plant require the sum of the positive temperatures is required as well as for the beginning of the growing season 104.6-117.9оC, flowering 343.7-366.4оC for full ripening 2925.3-3015.3оC and the sum of effective temperatures above 5о for the start of the growing season and 22.3-25.3оC, flowering 149.9-163.6, for the full maturation of the fruit 2004.5-2032.3.
