Morphometry of the embryo as an element of system testing quality of dill seeds

The study of the influence of the location of the umbrella on the plant dill varieties centaur (Anethum graveolens L.) on the growth of the embryo and its relationship with the process of seed germination. Seeds were sown in the experimental field of the research Institute - branch of Federal state institution Federal scientific center in 2015-2017 and grown to produce seeds. Then, in the process of germination, the length of the embryo from the umbrellas located on the shoots of the first and second orders of branching was measured. Parameters of model of embryo growth and germination of dill seeds are calculated. A significant difference in the time spent on the growth of 50% of the length of the embryo necessary for germination (p < 0.02). The upper asymptote of the obtained germ growth curves differed significantly (p < 0.001). Correlation analysis showed that there is a close positive relationship between the initial/final length of the embryo and the percentage of seed germination (r = 0.795 and r = 0.779, respectively). The close negative influence of the specified parameters of the embryo on the germination time of 50% of seeds (r = -0.836 and r = -0.727, respectively) was revealed. A close reliable relationship between the time spent on the growth of 50% of the length of the embryo necessary for germination and germination time (r = 0.869) and the percentage of sprouted seeds (r = -0.716) was revealed. Our research shows that the sowing qualities of dill seeds depend to a large extent on the size and growth dynamics of the embryo.
