Characteristics of productivity of maternal forms Lavandula angustifolia Mill. at the method of polycross hibridization

Were studied characteristics of productivity at 3 matern forms (Cr.26, Cr.13, Fr.5) of Lavandula angustifolia MILL with different geographical origin, that participate in polycross hibridization. Maternal forms were evaluated by characteristics of productivity of infloriscences. The evaluation of three maternal forms was carried out according to the following indications of the productivity of the inflorescence: the length of the peduncle, the length of the spike, the number of whorls. The lenght of peduncle varied from 13.3 cm till 14.6 cm. The lenght of the spike is from 7.5 cm till 9.2 cm. The quantity of infloresences varied on average from 5.7 pcs till 7.4 pcs. The content of essential oil was detected within the following limits: 2.722-3.746%. In the essential oil of maternal forms were identified from 20 to 35 chemical components. As a result of a comparative study of the characteristics of productivity in maternal forms, the best indicators were found in the maternal form Fr.5: the length of the ear is 9.2 cm, the number of whorls is 7-8, the content of essential oil is 3.746%.
