Dependence of plant productivity in mutant populations of soft wheat on chemical mutagens and variety genotype

The results of population characters analyses showed sensibility of origin population to influence of mutagen factors. Ecological adaptability of genotype, however, characterizes plant productivity and there components reflects the changes environmental conditions during different stages of individual plant development. The article presents investigation of chemical mutagens influence for spring soft wheat varieties. We studied 4 varieties, 7 mutagens and 3 their concentrations. We had been determined that plant productivity in the first generations (М1) showed essential differences. It depended on experimental variant and genotype of variety. The plant productivity of mutant generations was essential below than original forms. We had been observed this effect also in varieties, which reduced the number of living plant, but some varieties had been filed stimulate effect for plant survival of mutagen influence. The most influence on reducing of plant productivity showed mutagens NDMM and EI in all concentrations. The influence of variety genotype on plant productivity was more important, than other factors, and the influence of mutant kind was higher than their concentration. Mutant kind, their concentration and mutant generation had effect on quantitative characters. EI, DMS (0,02%) and NDEM (0,005%) depressed quantitative characters of М1 plants. Depressing influence of mutagens was lower in the second mutant generation (М2). The study of different factors effects on quantitative characters showed, that mutagen kind had the most influence. Mutagen effect in М1 and М2 populations was similar for plant height, number of spicelets per spike and number of grain, mutagen kind effect was higher in the second mutant generation (М2) for the other characters. We had been noted the high part of factor interaction in the first generations (М1) for productivity of main spike and number of productive stalks.
