The results of the application of modern methods in the study of genetic diversity Oryza s.L

Considerable variety of genotypes of the collection and a wide range of features cause the use of different assessment methods. Evaluation of the genetic diversity of the collection of research Institute of rice is carried out on a set of features using traditional and innovative research methods. The problem of plant resistance to biotic and abiotic factors is closely related to the demand for initial forms in the selection of new varieties. The most interesting features of the culture rice from the standpoint of breeding values are: resistance to piricularia and low temperatures, characteristics of grain: shape, size, linear dimensions, vitreous. To search for sources and donors of valuable traits for the study of collection samples taken from various rice growing countries. The article describes the modern methods used to study genetic diversity. Molecular genetic techniques have 110 varieties of rice identified genes that control resistance to piricularia and low temperatures. The Express method of grain estimation is based on computer analysis of digital images of samples: the geometric characteristics of grain and cereals, the shape of the grain, the shape and size of panicle, color and pubescence of the glumes of grain, vitreousness of the endosperm. With the use of computer technologies, the digitization of images of 1500 rice samples, identification of taxa was carried out, morphometric characteristics of grain features for updating the data Bank of the collection of research Institute of rice are given. For breeding programs allocated gene donors: Pi-k-28 pieces, Pi-9-17 рсs., QTL cold resistance - 37 rice samples.
