Effects of the "genotype-environment" interaction for fruit crops in the changing weather conditions of the South of Russia (in time and in space)

The peculiarities of "genotype-environment" interaction (GEI) in fruit crops determine the realization of their production potential. In this case, fruit differ in a long life cycle and a high degree of correlation of yields with the conditions of the growing environment. Trends of the variability of the limiting meteorological factors have been analyzed and revealed: average daily active temperature (above 5оC), diurnal average air temperature (оC), decade minimum air temperature, rainfall as a percentage of the norm for the last 15-30 years in various landscapes of the south Russia (Krasnodar region, Kabardino-Balkaria). New stressors and altered levels of "old" stressors under conditions of fluctuations in meteoparameters and trends of their variability, causing new effects of the manifestation of adaptability of fruit plants, are revealed and described. To open up the causes of appearance of the genotype-environment interaction effects under weather stressors of different years, the signs of apple and apricot adaptability were screened: the degree of their resistance to cold, frost and drought in different phases of ontogenesis under new regimes of fluctuations of lim-factors by years, as well as in different landscapes. The new knowledge on the nature of the ecological and genetic enhancement of productivity and crop yields, obtained for the first time for perennial fruit crops, thanks to the effects of GEI, will allow more effective intensification of fruit production from the necessary for today standpoint of problems of ecologization, biologization and resource saving.
