Prospects for use of Rosmarinusofficinalis L. as spice on the Southern coast of Crimea

The article presents data on the raw material yield, content and dynamics of the component composition of essential oil of prospective accessions Rosmarinusofficinalis L. of aromatic directions from the collection of the Nikita Botanical Gardens. In the southern coast conditions plants are characterized by high raw material yield (375-500kg / ha) and low aromatic (up to 0,1% of crude weight). High representation of borneol in the essential oil (23,21%), camphor (18%) and verbenone (10,15%), determines woody-camphor fragrance raw materials. Availability terpinene-4-ol (1,88%), pinokamfona (3,18%), bornyl acetate (5,92%), linalool (9,47%) confer raw pine fragrance with floral notes. The optimal timing of the collection of raw materials is June-August.
