The effect of autumn sowing dates on the yield of cabbages of Savoy in the Piedmont zone of the Crimea

Presents the results of field research for the study of autumn sowing of Savoy cabbage in the Crimea for an early crop of cabbages. The climatic conditions of the foothill Crimea is characterized by mild winter, the absolute minimum is observed in January, sometimes February. In the winter often thaw. Snow cover is usually thin, fragile. In the early spring period is often noted freeze. The results of the experiment prove the possibility of growing Savoy cabbage in such unstable winter conditions. The most stable phase of development of plants of Savoy cabbage to winter conditions, defined by time of sowing cabbage in the fall period at which the plants go through a stage of vernalization and time of sowing leading to plant death in the winter.
