Ecological plasticity and stability by new varieties of Crambe abyssinica in the conditions of the Middle Volga region

The article presents the results of testing the new varieties of crambe abyssinica breeding of Penza NIISH. The economic and biological characteristics of the new varieties of the of crambe abyssinica Demetra and Polet, which are included in the State Register of Selection Achievements and recommended for all regions of cultivation. Their productivity was studied in the conditions of the Middle Volga region, which in the average for three years varied in the range 2,6-3,6 and 2,9-3,7 t/ha, respectively. The oil of seed content reached high values of 45,1-46,2%. The estimation of the compensatory effects on the elements of the structure of the crop by the criteria of fitness of different varieties to individual temperature factors in different periods of ontogeny. These indicators quantify the reactions of crambe varieties to environmental factors during the vegetative period, adaptivity and ecological plasticity to the growing conditions. According to the indicators were identified varieties Polet (bi = 0,95; σdr2 = 0,08) and Demetra (bi = 0,99; σdr2 = 0,07), which show their adaptability to unfavorable conditions and adaptation to the agroclimatic conditions of vegetation. Stability of varieties characterizes the stability index, which is 14,9-16,1%. The realization of the potential for yields of varieties was relatively high, at the level of 84,2-88,9%, which is explained by their ability to withstand the action of various biotic and abiotic stresses.
