The value of perennial grasses as the optimal precursor for melons on non-irrigated areas

Considers the problem of determining the effect of perennial herbs on the fertility and agrophysical indicators of light-chestnut soils of the Volgograd TRANS-Volga region. The aim of this study is to determine the optimal predecessor for receiving the guaranteed yields of melons with high fruit quality, preservation and improvement of soil fertility. The article presents the results of field studies in long-term stationary experience, expanded in space and in time to determine the optimal predecessor for crops cucurbit crops in rainfed conditions. The studied indicators of soil fertility, humus content, of batteries depending on the duration of perennial grasses and agrophysical indicators, such as density, porosity, and structural properties of soils for perennial grasses (Wheatgrass). A positive impact of perennial grasses (Wheatgrass) on the fertility of light chestnut soil, improvement of parameters of light-chestnut soils. It is determined that the aftereffect of perennial grasses increases nutrients in the soil, and as a consequence, the increase of the humus state of soils due to the accumulation of root residues. Great value, in addition to diet, has agrophysical state of soils. Studies have found that the perennial grasses three years, improve water-air regime of soil due to its deconsolidation and improve the structure. Evaluation of the results of studies on the effect of perennial grasses three years for fertility and agrophysical indicators light chestnut soils can recommend perennial herbs, as the best predecessor for crops cucurbit crops in rainfed conditions.
