Russia's food security: challenges and threats

In the context of the global crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the strengthening of sanctions pressure from the international community, the existing foreign economic relations between the countries are under destruction, therefore, issues related to minimizing and neutralizing threats to Russia's food security are particularly relevant. The article examines the issues of effective development of the agricultural sector, since the quality of life of the population depends on this factor; therefore, the priority direction for ensuring the optimal level of food security of the Russian Federation is guaranteed physical and economic availability of food for the population.
