Criteria, threats and risks of ensuring food security of the Russian Federation

The key risk opportunities and threats to food security of the Russian Federation are analized. The definitional characteristic of this concept is presented via the use of an integrated approach. A criterial assessment of the level of food security of the country is proposed. It is noted that in order to neutralize threats to the food security of the Russian Federation, it is advisable to carry out effective government regulation of this industry. It is emphasized that ensuring food independence is one of the main directions of ensuring national security in the long term. The main mechanisms for ensuring the country's food security are highlighted. The article presents the main directions of increasing the level of food security of the country.
