Efficiency of using corn extract in feeding broiler chickens

The paper provides data on the effect of feeding complete feed with 2.9 and 4.8% corn extract on the productivity of Arbor Acres broiler chickens during the growing period from 4 to 42 days. It has been found that the inclusion of 2.9% of corn extract in the composition of the complete feed of the second group throughout the entire growing period contributes to an increase in the final live weight of the chickens by 4.9% in relation to the first group. With the addition of 4.8% corn extract to the diet of chickens of the third group, the final live weight of the poultry increased insignificantly by 1.9%. In the chickens of the second and third experimental groups the average daily feed intake from period 4 to 42 days increased relative to the control group by 5.4 and 3.8%, respectively. In the third group, feed costs per 1 kg of live weight gain were higher than the control indicator by 1.8%, in the second group they were at the level of the control (1.68 kg). In the chickens of the second experimental group, the slaughter yield was higher by 0.4 abs.% relative to the first group, and the proportion of all muscles was higher by 3.1 abs.%. In the second and third experimental groups, which chickens consumed complete feed with corn extract, the profitability was 26.6 and 24.2%, respectively, against 21.9% in the first group.
