Leasing as a source of investment in the purchase of agricultural equipment

The relevance of the search for effective investment mechanisms to accelerate the process of updating production equipment and simultaneously reduce the dependence of Russian organizations on borrowed capital is justified. The essence, main characteristics and advantages of leasing as a credit and financial mechanism are considered. A comparative characteristic of credit and leasing as sources of attracting investment is given, a review of the practical aspects of concluding credit and leasing contracts is conducted. It is established that a flexible payment schedule, including the possibility of changing it during the lease agreement, is more suitable for agricultural enterprises with a seasonal nature of production and dependence on natural and climatic conditions. Calculations of the efficiency of purchasing agricultural equipment at the expense of the organization's own funds, credit and leasing were made, which showed that leasing is a more economical and effective way of purchasing equipment.
