Methodological support of zonal seed production of agricultural and forest tree plants

The patterns revealed as a result of many years of research in the variability of the yield and quality of seeds of different plant species, depending on soil and climatic conditions, made it possible to propose a fundamentally new classification of the crop when assessing it as a seed material (N.M. Makrushin, 1985; N.M. Makrushin, E.M. Makrushina, 2012). At the same time, four types of harvest have been identified: 1) high yield with high sowing properties of seeds; 2) high yield with low sowing properties of seeds; 3) low yield with high sowing properties of seeds; 4) low yield with low sowing properties of seeds. Each of these types of yieldsis formed in certain soil and climatic conditions. As a result of drawing on contour maps of regions and edges with marked boundaries of regions and soil-climatic zones of crop types, four zones of seedproduction are distinguished, more or less favorable (or unfavorable) for growing seed material: 1 - Zone of optimal seed production, where seeds of the first type of harvest are grown; 2 - Zone of risky seed production (second type of yield); 3 - Zone of acceptable seed production (third type of yield); 4 - Zone of unacceptable seed production (fourth type of yield). Seed farms should be organized primarily in the zone of optimal seed production. When planning the cultivation of seeds in the zone of permissible seed production, it is necessary to take measures to increase theyield of seeds. In areas of risky and unacceptable seed production, it is impractical to grow seeds.
