Agronomic stability of varieties and breeding lines of oats of the Far Eastern selection in the conditions of the Middle Amur Region

The aim of the work was to study varieties and breeding lines of spring oatsincompetitive variety testing and to assessthe agronomic stability of the yieldt rait. The studies were carried out in 2017-2020 on the experimental field of "FEARI" (Russia, Far East, Khabarovsk region). The soil of the crop rotation is brown podzolic. Plotarea 4 m2, replication 3 times. The maximum yield was noted in 2019 for the Far Eastern gold variety and breeding lines - 403-16, 383-10, 474-14, 434-07 and 437-05, the grain productivity of which was 1.3-2 higher than the standard Marshal oat variety, 7 t/ha. The minimum yield was set in 2018 from 4.4 to 5.5 t/ha due to strong waterlogging of the soil during the growing season. In 2017 and 2020 productivity potential varied from 4.9 to 6.9 t/ha. The most stable yield formation (V˂10%) is characterized by oat varieties - Premier, Cardinal and selection line 339-11. The high variability of the productivity of the breeding lines - 437-05,434-07, 474-14, 333-08, 383-10 - is due to the significant influence of the hydrothermal regime during the period of plant growth and development (V>20%). All varieties and breeding lines of spring oats corresponded to the optimum level for production (As=70%). The maximum values of the trait of agronomic stability (As>90%) were established in the varieties Premier, Cardinal and in the line 339-11. As a result of cluster analysis, the samples are classified in to two clusters. In the first cluster, samples of spring oats (Marshal, 318-06, 316-07, Peredovik, Far Eastern Feed, Premier, Tigrovy, 325-04, 462-05, 313-07, 450-16, 398-16, Cardinal, 339-11) make the most favorable use of the cultivation conditions. In the second cluster, samples (Far Eastern Gold, 355-10, 392-15, 318-06, 434-05, 352-10, 437-17, 433-10, 377-16, 305-08, 318-14, 437-05, 434-07, 474-14, 403-16, 383-10, 333-08) realize their productivity potential only with improved growing conditions.
