Method of establishing types of seeds’ crops of agricultural plants

The development of the ecological foundations of seed production is an important state task in increasing the yield and improving the quality of seeds of agricultural and forest woody plants, which creates the prerequisites for solving the global problem - improving the competitiveness of domestic varieties, seeds, planting stock, technology and ensuring food security of the country. The most important element of ecologization of the agro-industrial complex is the creation of regional cartograms with highlighted optimal zones for seed production and plant propagation. The basis for the compilation of such cartograms is the establishment of crop types of seeds of agricultural and forest woody plants. Depending on the soil-climatic, biological and anthropogenic factors, 4 types of crops are distinguished: the first type (high yield, high quality of seeds); the second type (high yield, low quality of seeds); the third type (low yield, high quality of seeds); the fourth type (low yield, low quality of seeds). The methodology we developed for establishing crop types allows us to give an objective assessment of various regions of the Russian Federation from the point of view of the feasibility of organizing farms in them to grow a high crop with good sowing and yield properties of seeds of agricultural and forest woody plants.
