Barley diseases and plant-host resistance to them

A review of the literature on biology, morphology, distribution and severity of the most dangerous diseases of barley: leaf rust, powdery mildew, net bloth and spot bloth is presented. The significance of these diseases in recent years has increased throughout the world. Yield losses with strong development can range from 30 to 100%. In this regard, the search for sustainable samples and forms is relevant. The article deals with the study of the gene pool of barley and its types of resistance to pathogens of dangerous diseases.
Keywords: Barley diseases, barley leaf rust, powdery mildew, net spotting, dark brown spot, disease severity, resistance
