Organo-mineral fertilizer system influence on winter wheat leaf diseases on leached chernozeme of the Western Ciscaucasia

Integrated plant protection provides for the implementation of two directions that ensure the optimization of phytosanitary state of winter wheat agrocenosis: management and operational control of the of harmful organisms’ population development. Management techniques are aimed at creating optimal conditions for the culture to realize the potential yield and product quality. Great importance in this belongs to a balanced mineral nutrition of plants. In the long-term field experiment of the Kuban State Agrarian University the influence of various levels of organic and mineral fertilizers is studied, as well as their combination on the growth, development and productivity of winter wheat varieties of P.P. Lukyanenko NGC breeding, characterized by different resistance to pathogens. Monitoring of pathogens of obligate parasites, brown rust and powdery mildew showed that the organo-mineral fertilizer system, providing optimal conditions for plant nutrition, increases the development of brown rust by an average of 3.6, and 3.2 times. Development of powdery mildew 2,1-13,0 times and distribution 1,5-3,0 times in comparison with a natural background of soil fertility and mineral nutrition. Organo-mineral system provided reducing the degree of septoriosis destruction 1.2 to 4.0 times with the average development level of populations; of Pyrenophora 3.2-5.1 times in distribution reduction 2.0-2.5 and 2.0-3.0 times respectively compared to natural background. The influence of organo-mineral fertilizer system on the state of leaf diseases population should be taken into account when optimizing the operational protection of winter wheat against diseases.
