Dissemination of bacterial infections of large horned cattle in the Krasnodar region and their prophylaxis

Data on the study of the spread of cattle bacterial infectious diseases in the Krasnodar Territory are presented. 16 names of bacterial infections are registered. Among the species composition of microorganisms, 32 serotypes of E. coli, 9 species of the genus Streptococcus, Enteroccocus, Staphylococcus, Pseudomonas were registered in the studied livestock farms. In the study of bacterial associative infection of cows, depression, appetite disturbance, lack of mobility, weightand productivity loss, dermatitis, mastitis, endometritis, pododermatitis, conjunctivitis and others were noted. In calves, these microorganisms caused serous, catastrophic and hemorrhagic pneumonia, hepatitis, splenic, enteritis and gastroenteritis of various types. In the milk of cows somatic cells were found, milk yields decreased significantly. Tests of the vaccine in production conditions showed that the inactivated associated vaccine against streptococcosis and bovine staphylococcosis was harmless and provided not less than 80% protection after double intramuscular injection of 5.0 cm3 with an interval of 10 days.
