The fractional application of herbicides in sugar beet crops

Weed infestation of sugar beet is one of the reasons for the losses of root crops. Information on the species composition of the cenosis of weeds, the degree of weed infestation of crops will allow a differentiated approach to the choice of herbicides and techniques of application. The article presents practical material, obtained as a result of a thorough study of the effectiveness of post emergence herbicides application in sugar beet sowings, herbologist observations of sunflower crops. It is established that in the farming of sugar beets the most harmful are the weeds of the following biological groups: annual and perennial dicotyledonous, monocotyledonous annuals. It is established that application of the herbicide triplex, CA (in collaboration with caribou, SP) at the three waves of weeds allowed weeds control throughout the growing period.
