Blood biochemical indices estimation in cattle with nodular dermatite in the Chechen Republic

This article is devoted to the problem of nodular dermatitis of cattle caused by the Neethling virus from the genus Capripox virus of the family Poxviridae. The results of biochemical studies of diseased cattle with nodular dermatitis on the territory of the Chechen Republic are presented. It is shown that in an acute course of the disease there is an increase in creatinine 2 and more times in the blood of animals, the phosphorus-calcium ratio is violated, reserve alkalinity is reduced by 15-20% as well as the level of immunoglobulins A. All this leads to disruption of homeostasis in the body. The results of biochemical studies make it possible to understand the extent to which biochemical processes in animals are disturbed, and to develop an effective set of therapeutic and preventive measures. All this will help reduce the economic damage caused to the livestock of the Republic of Chechnya by nodular dermatitis.
