Ecological features of 3 genotype cattle viral diarrhea causative agent

Data on the new emergent atypical pestivirus of cattle, identified as the virus of diarrhea of cattle of the 3rd genotype, are given. This virus was first detected in fetal serum of bovine from Brazil. The results of the studies indicate that more than 30% of the series of fetal blood serum of cattle delivered to Europe from South America were contaminated with the virus of the virus diarrhea of the 3rd genotype. Cases of circulation of the viral diarrhea virus of four subgenotypes (3a-3d) 3 of the genotype have been established. This pathogen is represented by cytopathogenic and non-cytopathogenic biotypes. Diagnostic drugs obtained for the determination of pathogens 1 and 2 genotypes, do not allow detecting the virus of viral diarrhea of cattle 3 genotype. Commercial vaccines from viruses 1 and 2 genotypes do not provide protection against virus 3 of the genotype. For the first time in the Russian Federation, the virus of diarrhea virus of cattle of the 3 rd genotype was detected in samples of pathological material from calves obtained from imported heifers.
