Modern state and prospects of the development of selection and seed-grower of sorghum in connection with an import is a substitution in agroindustrial complex of Russian Federation

The areas of sowing of sorghum in Russia increase constantly. They increased in six times for the last ten years. In 2016 there are 229 sorts in the State register of plant-breeding achievements, including 29 of the foreign selection. The problem of an import is a substitution supposes intensification of plant-breeding work. New varieties and hybrids must be a competition with foreign sorts. Crimea is the important region of selection and growing of sorghum in Russia. Оf Academy of Life and Environmental Sciences FSAEI HE “V. I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University”. is created 15 sorts that can be grown in Russia. There is their description In the article.
